Time for more hooker collector cards!

If the weather oracles are to be believed, I am about to die. I’m sure a large portion of my StL readership can verify this, as according to weather.com, they are currently being bludgeoned about the head and shoulders by the gods of sleet and ice, as well as possibly frozen birds dropping from the sky*. And as I sit here pondering my imminent doom, the only thing that really concerns me is whether or not my flight to Vegas tomorrow is going to be delayed or cancelled. At least my flight’s not until 2:30pm, and most of the weather’s expected to move off by noon. Ah, good times.

Yup, it’s time for “Vegas II – The Revenge”. Those of you expecting another weekend of boredom, don’t fret, I’m going out with a buddy and a bunch of his friends so things should be a little more interesting this time around. Still, I’m bringing earplugs because I’m still getting my sleep no matter how many frat boys are hollering at the Hard Rock. I will have my laptop along with, so I *may* blog, but the schedule is pretty busy, so it may be at odd hours.

After I get back I’m in town for all of 24 hours before heading out on the mother of all business trips. All of it spent on the road as I drive all over Ohio. Here’s my route, in the event any of you think you see me as I drive by.

Yeah, not looking forward to it. At least I’ll have my iPod…of course I won’t know if my rental car can accept it until I pick it up and find out whether it has a tape deck. [fingers crossed].

The last time I rented a car for work, I prepared for the ipodless situation by bringing CDs - and then the car had XM. I was in heaven. I didn't listen to a single CD.

Hmmm...that might work, but honestly I'm so torn about satellite radio that I don't know what I would do if I get a car that has it.

On the one hand, it'd be kind of nice to listen to public radio for the entire drive without needed to seek up and down through the 89.0-92.0 range every time the signal died.

On the other hand, I can't stand even the principle of paying for radio.

I guess we'll see just how solid my moral principles are huh?

Bring a sweater! M.Bro is there right now (until Saturday - maybe you two can wave across a casino!) and reports it to be generally crappy and chilly.

I was in Cleveland (or, more specifically, the airport) Tuesday and today, and will be making an additional appearance for six hours on Saturday afternoon if anyone wants to come by and say hi!

I was just looking at how beautiful the Xmas lights on our house are as I watch their reflection in the ice and snow covering our front porch and yard.

I'm not sure how I planned it so well (in advance), but I have a vacation day tomorrow! I don't have to fight traffic or even go out of my house if I don't want to!

So, is Ohio exempt from all the bad weather mojo?
