Just wanted to let you all know it's Christmas, folks. I saw the first christmas-themed ad in the WSJ last friday and the Bloomingdales home store downtown has their Holiday decor stuff out already...

(Sigh)...society can't even make it to Columbus day anymore?

The Giant up the street from my parents has had a Christmas display up for weeks. It's actually hilarious - it's a giant snowglobe, much taller than me, with some kind of Santa Claus scene inside, and "snow" blowing constantly. If it were $30, I'd be tempted (...to buy it for someone else), but it's like $150.
